23.30 – Le fiamme sono state domate in circa 20 minuti dai numerosi vigili del fuoco accorsi sul posto e l’ispezione dei resti è già in corso. Stando alle prime informazioni, non ancora confermate dalle autorità britanniche, a bordo del mezzo c’erano quattro persone: Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, sua figlia e i due piloti.
Confermato, invece, che il figlio Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha, vicepresidente della squadra e dell’azienda King Power, non si trovava a bordo del velivolo, così come è stata esclusa la presenza a bordo del direttore di calcio Jon Rudkin.

22.30 – Tragedia per il Leicester subito dopo la partita casalinga contro il West Ham: l’elicottero del proprietario, il thailandese Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, è precipitato in fase di decollo nei pressi dello stadio delle Foxes. Ancora ignoti i motivi che hanno portato all’incidente, ma secondo alcuni testimoni oculari, il velivolo è caduto nel parcheggio dello stadio del Leicester dopo aver da subito mostrato segni di avaria durante la fase di decollo.
Lo schianto al suolo e il conseguente incendio che si è sviluppato, lasciano pensare che nessuno dei passeggeri possa essersi salvato. Al momento, però, non si sa ancora chi fosse a bordo dell’elicottero oltre al patron del club inglese.
